OUR STORY
This organization was built from experience—both in gaming communities and in real life.
Many of us come from military service, law enforcement, and high-responsibility leadership roles. We understand structure, accountability, teamwork, and mission execution.
We also understand burnout, ego-driven leadership, and what happens when hierarchy overrides purpose.
When we looked at the MILSIM space—especially in Star Citizen—we saw two extremes:
Highly structured groups focused on realism and hierarchy…
and more casual groups built around flexibility and open play.
Both have value.
They just weren’t what we were looking for.
So we built something in between.
A place where:
Tactical coordination matters—but fun matters more
Structure enables teamwork—but doesn’t control people
Leadership is service—not status
Rank reflects responsibility—not authority
Being active-duty and veteran-led doesn’t mean we’re recreating the military.
It means we understand what makes teams work—and what doesn’t. We take what works. We leave the rest.
At the end of the day, this isn’t about pretending to be something we’re not. It’s about playing well together.
If that resonates with you—you’re in the right place.
MISSION
To build a fun-first, inclusive MILSIM-Lite community where players enjoy coordinated, tactical gameplay with RP-Lite immersion—without obligation, gatekeeping, or rigid hierarchy.
VISION
To create a sustainable, player-driven community where structure supports fun, leadership is shared, and people show up because they want to—not because they have to.

CORE LEADERSHIP
JTF 501 is led by a small team of active-duty, veteran, law enforcement, and industry leaders with decades of real world leadership experience combined focused on building a strong, sustainable community.
Leadership here isn’t about authority—it’s about service, stewardship, and enabling and facilitating others to play.
DKreaper112
Founder | Council Lead
DKREAPER112 is a founding member of JTF 501 and an active-duty military officer with over a decade of experience in Military Intelligence, including extensive time supporting Special Operations and joint environments. He brings a background rooted in high-tempo, team-focused operations, where coordination, trust, and shared understanding are critical to success.
That experience directly shaped the foundation of JTF 501. Built alongside fellow leadership, the organization was designed to capture the best parts of structured, tactical gameplay—while deliberately avoiding the rigidity, ego, and overbearing culture often found in traditional MILSIM spaces. His approach centers on enabling good gameplay through people, not controlling it.
Within the community, he serves as both a coordinator and facilitator—helping align teams, support event execution, and maintain a culture that prioritizes respect, maturity, and enjoyment. His leadership style emphasizes clarity, flexibility, and shared ownership, ensuring that Operators feel empowered to contribute without unnecessary friction.
Currently focused on international affairs and organizational dynamics in his professional career, he brings a continued interest in how teams function effectively across different environments—both in and out of game. Outside the verse, he is a husband and father who values time, balance, and building something meaningful with people who genuinely enjoy being part of it.
“Good people. Great gameplay. Shared effort. That’s what this is about.”

FragThis51
Founder | Council Lead
Fragthis51 is a founding member of JTF 501 and a career active-duty officer with over a decade of leadership experience, primarily in command and staff roles. He brings a strong background in managing teams, systems, and organizational processes—skills that translate directly into how the community operates behind the scenes.
While much of the team is focused on gameplay, Frag is often working in the background to ensure the structure holds—keeping systems aligned, people supported, and functions running efficiently. His impact isn’t always front-facing, but it’s foundational. He plays a key role in maintaining the organization’s stability, helping ensure that standards, processes, and expectations remain consistent as the community grows.
A close friend of DKREAPER112 and MONBEA, he was part of the original group that built JTF 501 from the ground up. He continues to help guide the vision of the org, reinforcing its core identity—structured without being restrictive, and always centered around people first. As a council member, he provides a steady, thoughtful presence that helps keep decisions grounded in the organization’s long-term mission and values.
A self-described introvert, Frag tends to prefer smaller teams, solo play, or tight-knit group environments. While he may not always be the most active in-game due to real-life commitments, when he does show up, he’s ready to contribute. During larger events, his presence is often felt through support and oversight—helping leaders stay organized, ensuring coordination is smooth, and making sure the details that elevate the experience don’t get overlooked.
Outside the game, he is a dedicated husband and father of four. Family comes first, and while that may limit his time in the verse, it reinforces the same values he brings into the community—responsibility, consistency, and a long-term commitment to the people around him.

Monbea
Founder | Council Member
Monbea is a founding member of JTF 501 and a steady contributor to both the organization’s structure and its culture. Introduced to Star Citizen through long-time friend FRAGTHIS51 and alongside DKREAPER112, he quickly became part of the core group that helped shape the foundation of the community. What started as a shared interest has grown into a lasting commitment to building a space where people can enjoy the game together without unnecessary pressure or complexity.
A self-described introvert and casual gamer at heart, Monbea represents a critical perspective within the leadership team—ensuring the organization remains accessible, relaxed, and enjoyable for players of all types. He is a strong advocate for those who may not always be the most vocal or outwardly engaged, helping ensure that quieter players and different playstyles are always considered in how the org operates.
In-game, he is a major presence on the industrial side, with a particular focus on salvaging and mining. Most at home running operations solo, with his wife, or in small, tight-knit teams, he brings a calm and methodical approach to gameplay. While he can support across multiple loops when needed, his strength lies in sustaining the org through consistent resource gathering and industrial contribution.
As a council member, Monbea provides thoughtful input behind the scenes, helping guide decisions in a way that balances action-oriented gameplay with the equally important industrial and casual experience. His influence helps ensure JTF 501 remains a community where both high-tempo operators and more relaxed players can find their place.
At his core, he’s here for the same reason the org exists—to have fun, play good games with good people, and enjoy the experience alongside friends old and new.
MrFlashBang
Officer
MrFlashBang is a founding member of JTF 501 and a long-time Star Citizen veteran, having pledged in 2013 and bringing over a decade of experience into the organization. He serves as a steady, grounded presence within the leadership team, helping shape both the culture and day-to-day experience of the community through a practical, team-first approach.
His real-world background includes eight years in law enforcement as a deputy sheriff, along with experience as a defensive tactics instructor, tactical pistol and rifle trainer, and range safety officer. He is also a trained man-tracker, with years spent operating in rural environments and outdoor pursuits such as hiking, hunting, and tracking. These experiences translate directly into a disciplined, methodical in-game presence focused on execution, awareness, and supporting the team.
Within JTF 501, he is known as a consistent voice of reason and trusted source of advice. He leads through humility and example—coaching, mentoring, and developing others with a genuine pride in helping people improve. Whether working with new players or seasoned Operators, he brings patience, clarity, and a calm, steady leadership style that reinforces the community-first foundation of the org.
In-game, he is always ready to step in wherever needed and support fellow members—reliable, capable, and mission-focused. If he’s online, he’s someone you can count on to show up and have your back. When he’s not in the verse, he’s usually spending time with his dogs, maintaining the same grounded, balanced approach to life that he brings into the community.
